Job Title: Senior Physical Antimony Ore Sales Trader – China Market

Company: Fortuna DMCC Canada Inc.

Location: Remote

Engagement: Contract, consulting, part-time, or potentially full-time

Strong candidates based in Hong Kong, Singapore, the UAE, India, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other established metals-trading hubs may also be considered.

About Fortuna

Fortuna DMCC Canada Inc. is an Ontario-based international commodity trading company active in commodity origination, sourcing, logistics coordination, documentation, contract execution, and international supply-chain management.

We are developing antimony ore as a new commodity line and are seeking an experienced physical sales trader who can introduce our supply to qualified buyers and convert opportunities into secure, executable transactions.

About the Role

This is a hands-on sales and transaction-closing position. It is not a market-research, advisory, or general consulting role.

The successful candidate must already have relevant commercial relationships with companies purchasing antimony ore or directly related antimony feedstocks. The trader will use this network to originate genuine demand, develop qualified enquiries, negotiate acceptable commercial terms, and conclude collected business.

Responsibilities
  • Introduce Fortuna’s antimony ore supply to qualified smelters, processors, importers, end users, and established metals-trading companies.
  • Activate existing buyer relationships rather than developing an entirely new network from the beginning.
  • Identify buyers with genuine current demand and sufficient financial capacity to perform.
  • Obtain complete buyer requirements, including quantity, minimum Sb grade, impurity limits, moisture, particle size, destination, delivery schedule, inspection, and documentation requirements.
  • Present assay reports, Certificates of Analysis, photographs, origin information, and shipment details professionally.
  • Generate qualified enquiries and convert them into trial orders, contracts, and repeat business.
  • Negotiate secure payment structures, preferably advance payment or an irrevocable confirmed Letter of Credit issued by an acceptable bank and subject to acceptable wording.
  • Support negotiations concerning pricing, inspection, logistics, penalties, deductions, delivery terms, and shipment structure.
  • Conduct preliminary verification of prospective buyers and counterparties.
  • Maintain accurate records of buyer contacts, requirements, discussions, offers, and next steps.
  • Work closely with Fortuna’s management through contract execution, payment collection, and successful shipment.
Required Experience
  • Demonstrated physical sales or trading experience involving antimony ore, antimony concentrate, antimony metal, antimony trioxide, minor metals, non-ferrous metals, or closely related mineral feedstocks.
  • An existing and active network of relevant buyers, smelters, processors, importers, or established trading companies.
  • Proven ability to originate physical demand and close international commodity transactions.
  • Practical understanding of Sb content, assay reports, impurities, moisture, particle size, inspection requirements, pricing formulas, deductions, and penalties.
  • Familiarity with advance payments, Letters of Credit, bank confirmation, documentary requirements, and international payment risk.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to distinguish genuine end users and financially capable counterparties from brokers and unqualified enquiries.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred for candidates covering China. Other relevant languages are advantageous.
This Role Is Not Suitable For
  • Market researchers or analysts without active buyer relationships.
  • Consultants whose experience is limited to reports, studies, or market-entry presentations.
  • General commodity brokers unable to demonstrate relevant antimony or transferable minor-metals experience.
  • Candidates who would begin looking for buyers only after being appointed.
  • Applicants without a credible history of physical commodity sales or transaction execution.
Candidate Assessment

Shortlisted candidates should be prepared to discuss:

  • Their direct antimony or minor-metals experience.
  • The types of active buyers they can approach immediately.
  • The markets and buyer categories they currently cover.
  • Relevant physical transactions they have originated, negotiated, or closed.
  • Their experience securing commercially acceptable payment terms.
  • Their proposed 30-, 60-, and 90-day action plan.
  • Realistic activity levels, sales targets, and the support required from Fortuna.

Candidates will not be required to disclose confidential buyer identities during the initial application. However, they must provide enough verifiable detail to demonstrate relevant experience and genuine market access.

Commercial Structure

The engagement and remuneration structure will be determined after assessing the candidate’s buyer network, transaction history, market access, proposed commercial plan, time commitment, and realistic deliverables.

The structure may include a limited base, hourly fee, or retainer combined with a strong success fee or commission linked to concluded transactions and collected proceeds.

The initial engagement will be performance-driven and subject to agreed deliverables, buyer-account registration, confidentiality, non-circumvention, compliance, and commission terms.

How to Apply

Please submit:

  • Your CV or professional profile.
  • A brief summary of your antimony or minor-metals trading experience.
  • The markets and buyer categories you currently cover.
  • Confirmation of whether you have active buyer relationships for antimony ore or directly related products.
  • Two or three examples of relevant physical transactions you helped originate, negotiate, or close, without disclosing confidential information.
  • Your proposed engagement structure.
  • A brief initial commercial action plan.

General statements such as “I have a large network” or “I can find buyers” will not be sufficient. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate relevant access, transaction experience, and the ability to convert opportunities into secure and executable business.
