We are partnering with a leading international investment bank to hire an AVP-level eFX Java Developer to join its front-office electronic FX trading technology team in Singapore.

This role sits directly within the eFX trading domain and requires strong hands-on experience building and supporting electronic FX trading systems in a banking environment. The team is responsible for mission-critical platforms covering FX pricing, execution, liquidity management, and market connectivity used by global trading desks and institutional clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance high-performance eFX trading applications and services
• Work closely with FX traders, quants, and front-office stakeholders on pricing and execution systems
• Build scalable, low-latency distributed systems supporting electronic trading flows
• Develop and improve components across pricing engines, market connectivity, execution, and risk platforms
• Drive modernization initiatives including microservices, cloud adoption, containerization, and automation
• Improve platform stability, observability, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• Strong hands-on Core Java development experience within investment banking
• Proven experience working specifically within the eFX trading domain
• Good understanding of electronic FX trading workflows, pricing, execution, liquidity, and market data
• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput distributed trading systems
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization
• Experience with modern engineering and cloud technologies including:
• Java 11/17+
• Spring Boot / Microservices
• Kafka or messaging platforms
• Kubernetes / Docker
• AWS, Azure, or GCP
• CI/CD and DevOps tooling
• Strong Linux and SQL/database knowledge
• Ability to work closely with global trading and technology teams in a fast-paced front-office environment
