The Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) nurtures lifelong relationships and strengthens bonds with local and overseas alumni from the Universitys 370,000-strong alumni community.
The candidate will help engage and connect the global NUS alumni community through compelling storytelling. You will curate and share content on university milestones, alumni achievements, and key events across traditional and digital media, ensuring alumni stay informed and engaged with their alma mater and one another.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies that align with NUS objectives to engage alumni and bolster community outreach effectively.
- Strategically grow our follower base and increase engagement by creating campaigns that attract and resonate with our global alumni audience.
- Lead the creation of compelling content across multiple social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube) that engages our diverse alumni base.
- Actively monitor, moderate and respond to interactions on social media platforms, fostering a positive community environment and strengthening alumni relationship with NUS.
- Regularly analyse and report on the performance of social media activities. Utilise these insights to optimise future campaigns and strategies to increase engagement and reach.
Job Requirements
- A good Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of proven experience in social media management.
- Exceptional creative and visual skills, with a proven ability to develop content and strategies that engage diverse audiences, including proficiency in graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the capacity to create content that both engages and informs a variety of audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Good analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to use data to inform decisions and enhance outcomes.
- Solid understanding of the social media platforms and their best practices, experience in managing social media campaign and proficiency in social media analytics and tools.
- Willingness to work outside of regular office hours and on weekends, when needed.
