We are looking for a ACCA certified member or CA (Chartered Accountant) who is motivated and detail-oriented, to join a dynamic maritime business. This role supports key finance and accounting functions, including period-end closing, group reporting, tax compliance, and transactional operations. Working closely with the General Manager, and Finance Director, the position focuses on strengthening financial controls and driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting & Closing Perform month-end and period-end closing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Support sub-consolidation and preparation of group reporting schedules Management Reporting Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports Develop reporting packages and financial summaries for internal stakeholders Transactional Finance Operations Oversee AR/AP functions, including invoice processing, postings, and reconciliations Perform bank reconciliations and support global payment processes, including letters of credit (LCs) Tax Compliance & External Liaison Ensure compliance with Corporate Tax and GST requirements, including timely filings Liaise with auditors and tax agents on audits, submissions, and statutory reporting Cash Flow & Financial Planning Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity positions Governance & Internal Controls Conduct internal checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial documentation Support company secretarial matters when required Costing & Profitability Provide costing and profitability analysis to support business and commercial decisions Undertake additional duties as assigned by management Requirements Degree in Accountancy or relevant professional qualification (or equivalent experience) Experience in financial accounting, month-end closing, and AR/AP processes Working knowledge of SFRS/IFRS, Corporate Tax, and GST Proficiency in advanced Excel and familiarity with Power Query Experience with Tableau/Power BI and process automation is advantageous Strong analytical and data management skills with proficiency in MS365 and accounting systems Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with regional stakeholders Willingness to provide support outside of regular hours when required
