The Food & Beverage Division Account Manager is the face of the company for our customers and is responsible for the profitable growth of the field sales by building on existing customer relationships and expanding opportunities through new business and innovation. The Account Manager fosters strong customer relationships by providing personalized service, valuable expertise in cleaning and sanitation, and delivering chemical and operational solutions to Food Manufacturing Establishments. They also have an appetite for growth and exploring new areas and opportunities to aggressively grow the business.

Business Planning and Account Prospecting
  • Meet sales and profitability targets - Area and Division
  • Analyze business results with manager, identify growth opportunities and action plans
  • Manage Grow to Win funnel and acquisition plan
  • Negotiate, close deals, and implement conversion and start-up plans
  • Deploy new programs and initiatives
  • Implement targeted price increases at designated customers
  • Establish service call plans to meet service level agreements
Account Management
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels
  • Service customers according to Service Level Agreements
  • Optimize account profitability (e.g., equipment investment, flat fee management)
  • Implement corporate account commitments and proactively inform CAM of results, issues, and initiatives
  • Prepare and hold periodic business reviews with strategic customers
  • Identify and monitor customers at risk, contract renewals, and retention actions
  • Ensure collection of receivables to prevent credit holds
Customer Value Delivery and Documentation
  • Identify, develop, and implement solutions to improve results, customer service, and total cost
  • Identify, quantify, and communicate the Ecolab value provided
Safety
  • Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements
  • Act as a safety champion at customer sites
Requirements
  • Preferably a university degree in Chemical Process Engineering, Food Science
  • At least 4 to 5 years of sales experience in a related industry
  • Own car with transport allowance
  • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic and integrity
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to sell value and solutions
  • Positive, flexible, results-oriented attitude, capable of handling pressure
  • Industry experience
  • Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service orientation with consultative selling skills
  • Technical understanding (e.g., electrical, mechanical)
