Role Summary

Electrical Engineering Lead plays a critical role for the design and construction of both our greenfield and brownfield data centers in APAC region. His/her responsibilities include designing new data centers, remodeling, and deploying the existing ones, with expertise in electrical engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop new greenfield and brownfield data centers.

Assist in datacenter remodeling work and deploying additional services into existing data halls.

Lead and work as a part of a team to create concept design schemes.

Produce prospectus for potential designs.

Manage the lead design consultant to produce and ensure the completeness of relevant designs and documentations.

Follow relevant procedures and obtain necessary approvals.

Create relevant procedures when necessary.

Keep documentation up to date.

Resolve design and site issues.

Cross-check other discipline designs including electrical design.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum of 10 + years of experience in engineering consultancy and/or electrical infrastructure construction.

Chartered or is a Licensed Professional Engineer is an advantage.

Solid experience in:

Greenfield design

Live data center modification

Maintenance Operation

Testing and Commissioning

MEP work phasing and logistics.

Be knowledgeable in electrical, telecommunication, structural, architectural, quantity survey, cost estimation, project management, construction management and facilities management.

Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of Medium/Low voltage /High Voltage electrical distribution systems, AC/DC systems, and associated power management/SCADA tools.

Prior knowledge on power system condition monitoring.

Self-motivated. Adaptable. Good communication skills.

Experienced in leading multi-discipline teams to deliver projects

Be disciplined manager assigning and reviewing tasks

Presentable and confident in client facing

Able to travel occasionally (around 20% of time)

Experiences working in different countries / global exposure is an advantage.
