Senior Buyer

Job Description:

Our client is a leading medical and healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care through innovation, advanced technology, and a highly skilled team. They operate across multiple healthcare facilities and ensure their operations are supported by a robust and efficient supply chain. They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Buyer to manage the procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and services across our healthcare network. This role is critical in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement while maintaining supplier relationships and supporting the smooth operation of their clinical and non-clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for medical supplies, equipment, and consumables.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate terms and contracts to secure optimal value and cost savings.
• Maintain strong working relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers as needed.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and coordinate with internal departments to ensure satisfaction and compliance.
• Resolve supply chain or delivery issues to avoid disruption to healthcare services.
• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and forecast demand.
• Ensure procurement aligns with usage patterns, seasonal trends, and clinical needs.
• Avoid overstocking and minimize waste or obsolescence.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, quality standards, and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor documentation.
Assist in audits and provide necessary procurement documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Healthcare Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the medical, healthcare, or hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical products, devices, and healthcare supply chains.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
Ability to work cross-functionally with clinical and administrative teams.
