Fleet Manager

• Is the primary point of contact with the Client, ensuring that the assigned fleet meet their commercial objectives.

• Monitors and manages all assigned vessels in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

• Is accountable for the assigned fleets being available and in compliance with their charter party obligations and a point of contact for the Master in relation to compliance with Charterers requirements.

• Liaises and assists with any emergency involving managed vessels.

• Investigate significant events and devise strategies to prevent these from reoccurring.

• Monitoring the use, supply of contractors and service operations to ensure that the service needs of the vessels assigned are met in the most appropriate cost-effective manner.

• Is accountable for ensuring that the Crew Manager/Agent supplies qualified and experienced crew to the assigned vessels.

• Will, on a case-by-case basis, manage assigned vessels as Ship Manager.

• Must be able to undertake ship inspections in accordance with Company procedures

• Constantly develop and improve uniform engineering and technical standards for the operation, repair and maintenance of mechanical systems and hull structures.

• Is accountable for:

• Line reports to Senior Management.

• Management of assigned Direct Reports.

• Client satisfaction for the assigned fleets.

• Commercial success of the assigned fleets and vessels.

• Regularly reviewing aspects of the Planned Maintenance System.

• The safety performance and environmental protection of the assigned Fleet.

• Advising the Group Training Manager of any existing and/or future crew training requirements.

• Reporting on a monthly and/or quarterly basis to management and owners including VOCR approval, budget, operational and routine matters.
