Accounts Executive
Job Description
To be part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function
Responsibilities:
- Assist accountant to maintain full set of accounts for trading company (construction materials).
- Process invoices, issue cheque, payment voucher and receipt voucher
- Prepare bank reconciliations and related cash reports
- Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting and schedules.
- Monitor, check and reconcile inventories level & movement.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support operational activities.
- Staff claim verification and prepare listing for disbursements
- Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments & other adjustment
- Prepare monthly schedules and assist on month end closing of accounts & quarterly GST filling
- Administration, office support and documentation
- Other related accounting duties by the Management
- Assist in ad hoc analysis, project work and duties assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Able to work under pressure
- Good organisation and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Construction Sector will be an added advantage
- Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a ‘can do attitude.
