• In this position as a Underwriting Medical Director , you will work with the New Business and High Net-Worth teams to achieve competitive underwriting outcomes and provide expert opinions on complex claims assessment and medical claims adjudication.
• You will play a key role in providing medical-related advice and underwriting training to partners and internal stakeholders, and review existing underwriting guidelines.
• You will contribute medical expertise to the design of new insurance products, advise on medical trends, and assess implications for product features.
• You will be expected to understand and explain prognostic implications of various medical conditions, and to make accurate and fair risk selections to support better-priced premiums and improved loss ratios.

• 10+ years of life/health/high net-worth underwriting experience (reinsurance or life background are welcome)
• Medical degree from a recognised institution
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Good understanding of life insurance business and its financial aspects
• Strong knowledge of medical terms, conditions, and treatment protocols
