1. Manage a large team of Portfolio Development Managers across multiple countries or industries to deliver high-quality portfolio development activities supporting software sales and business goals.
2. Collaborate with Country executives and management to contribute to sales pipeline strategy and understand portfolio development contribution requirements.
3. Oversee planning and execution of portfolio expansion and growth aligned with DI SW Zone objectives.
4. Manage business operations including budget, planning, monitoring, and reporting for portfolio management.
5. Define market positions within the portfolio, understanding customer problems and business value to craft compelling sales messages for different industries and regions.
6. Make personnel decisions such as recruitment, training, performance management, in compliance with regulations.
7. Participate in regional and industry-specific meetings, contributing to planning and reporting.
8. Provide coaching and mentoring to PFD Executives and Managers, advocating for the value of Portfolio Development.
9. Contribute to zone and global initiatives, and deputize for the Senior Portfolio Director when needed.

1. Masters degree in engineering or economics.
2. Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the simulation or engineering technology industry, preferably in Aerospace, Defence, Marine, or Start-ups.
3. Strong understanding of simulation tools and technologies such as Siemens Simcenter, Ansys, Altair, Hexagon.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Willingness to travel for client engagement and industry events.
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
