Senior Project Portfolio Director

Senior Project Portfolio Director role at SITA. This position leads a dynamic project organization to deploy portfolios, programs, and projects that prioritize customer ease and safety throughout their travel journey, while promoting sustainability and cultural diversity.

As the Senior Project Portfolio Director, you will own and lead the success and profitability of assigned portfolios, providing a clear vision of company values and goals. You will lead, inspire, and manage resources to ensure adoption of best practice standards across the organization in a fast-paced, global, agile environment.

• Oversee Portfolios, Programs, and Projects of varying sizes and complexities; develop resource and capacity plans; manage and mitigate risks; lead Project Review Boards and provide comprehensive portfolio status updates.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Teams to align headcount and delivery locations with capacity and skills strategy; build, lead, and develop a proficient project management team; engage in negotiations and communicate ideas across the organization.
• Support and uphold company-defined standards and practices; generate and maintain reports; ensure visibility into portfolio, program, and project activities; contribute to ongoing development of project management practices.

• Proven track record of managing multiple programs of varying sizes, budgets, and deliverables within a commercial environment.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and managing project teams; ability to manage and control large budgets.
• Experience working with executives and C-level senior management; preferably in IT solutions within the travel and transportation industry.

• Masters degree, MBA or equivalent
• Formal project management training and certification - PMP
• PgMP or PfMP certification highly desired
