We are looking for an established scientist in the field willing to assume a leadership role across the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies (CDPT) at NTU ( and the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) at the University of Southampton ( Candidates Are Expected To
- Establish a world-class research program,
- Enhance the Schools visibility as an international leader in education and research
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Actively collaborate with CDPT and ORC faculty and researchers
- Conduct high-quality innovative research in terms of publishing top-tier papers
- Giving invited talks at international conferences, securing competitive research grants, and supervising research personnel
- Split their time between NTU (80%) and the University of Southampton (20%)
- Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Giving academic supervision of undergraduate and graduate students
- Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles
- Contribute to other service-related activities assigned by the School and University
- PhD in Physics or a related discipline
- Strong record of research and relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed international journals
- A good track record of securing competitive research grants
- A good track record of supervising research staff, postdocs, PhD students, and interns in relevant fields
- Experienced in cross-disciplinary research initiatives and collaboration
