Head of Fund Accounting - Premier Insurer

This premier insurer is committed to strengthening its financial and investment operations as it continues to grow in the region. It is now seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Fund Accounting to lead the financial and regulatory reporting for its investment assets portfolios.

Responsibilities

As Head of Fund Accounting, you will oversee financial and regulatory reporting for investment assets, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely submissions. The role includes managing MAS returns, financial closings, audits and investment accounting, while strengthening risk controls and leading operational processes such as ILP NAV pricing and investment-related transactions. You will also manage key stakeholders and vendors as well as driving change initiatives related to regulatory updates and system enhancements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting or a related qualification, with at least 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and deep expertise in fund and investment accounting across various asset classes. Prior experience in the insurance sector is preferred, along with a strong track record in regulatory and financial reporting for investment assets, including MAS returns, GST and ILP fund audits. You bring proven leadership in managing teams, driving performance as well as thriving in a dynamic and hands-on environment. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
