As the FCL Director for Middle East & Indian Subcontinent for Ocean Freight across APAC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing DP Worlds Ocean FCL trade strategy, driving growth and strengthening the companys market position. This role is more than just procurement - its about building trusted partnerships with carriers, optimizing trade lane performance, and creating solutions that truly add value for customers.

Success in this role requires a blend of strategic vision and hands-on execution, working closely across functions to develop competitive trade strategies, enhance procurement excellence, and drive market expansion. As a key leader in the business, this position reports to the Senior Director, FCL Procurement - APAC and contributes directly to DP Worlds continued success in the region.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and execute the FCL trade strategy, identifying growth opportunities and adapting to market trends, competitors, and customer demands.
• Build strong carrier relationships to secure competitive rates, enhance service offerings, and drive procurement excellence for optimized trade performance.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Sales to develop pricing models, customer-centric solutions, and oversee RFQ responses aligned with profitability goals.
• Optimize trade lanes by balancing carrier capacity with demand, addressing underperformance, and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
• Lead trade reviews and digital initiatives, enhancing trade visibility, decision-making, and innovation across APAC.
• Strengthen industry relationships with key customers, industry bodies, and global trade forums to advocate for regional priorities.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing trade team, fostering expertise in analytics, customer engagement, and market intelligence.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor Degree/Masters with expertise in Trade Management and Ocean Freight and a deep understanding of industry dynamics
• Prior experience of 15 years of strong Ocean Freight experience across the region segment of Middle East and Indian subcontinent
• Results-driven with a strong commercial mindset, combining strategic thinking with an action-oriented approach to drive business success.
• Customer-focused negotiator, skilled in securing optimal outcomes, maintaining strong partnerships, and fostering collaboration across functions.
• Experienced in managing virtual teams, leading high-level internal and external meetings, and navigating corporate environments effectively.
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and the ability to work across cultures.
• Confident decision-maker, comfortable making high-impact choices that shape the network while coaching and developing talent.
• Willing to travel internationally (up to 20%).
