Job Description:
Manages accounts remotely (by phone, electronically, or social media) based in Australia. Builds, maintains, and forecasts sales pipelines, develops account plans, and works closely with outside sales, channel partners, and end customers to close sales opportunities. May generate and qualify leads to create new sales opportunities. Sets and executes sales strategies for assigned accounts, territories, or industry verticals.
Role Expectations:
Uses an intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to address common business issues. Handles moderately complex problems, provides analysis, and offers limited project guidance. Exercises independent judgment within established practices, interprets policies, evaluates circumstances, and makes recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Sells moderately complex solutions, products, and services to assigned accounts, possibly partnering with field sales or selling independently.
- Creates account plans for medium to high complexity accounts.
- Generates, qualifies, and reviews new leads to drive sales to closure; collaborates with partners or outside sales as needed.
- Understands client requirements and positions company solutions to meet needs, supporting retention strategies.
- Builds targeted sales pipelines and forecasts data-driven sales activities.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in any field, preferably IT or Sales.
- 3-5 years of sales experience.
- Experience working with the Australian market.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in account management, acquisition, retention, and development.
- Knowledge of the companys product and service portfolios.
- Understanding of IT and industry solutions to address business challenges.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate within a team.
- Depending on the role, may require a hunter approach or a strategic relationship-selling approach.
- Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management systems like Salesforce.
