Contract Manager/Senior Manager, InTeC (11-months contract)

What the role is

You will join the Industry & Technology Collaboration Department (InTeC), with a mission to grow water technologies and support the internationalisation of the water industry. The objective is to bring discoveries from the laboratory to industrial application as quickly as possible, and to support the water industry to gain overseas market access.

As part of the Technology Collaboration Division in InTeC, you will be part of a team that promotes key water technologies to potential adopters in the water industry, as well as in adjacent industries. At the same time, you will also leverage PUBs overseas networks to help open doors for Singapore water companies in new markets.

What you will be working on

Your responsibilities include:

A. Technology & Industry Promotion a. Engage start-ups, SMEs and other stakeholders (i.e. Singapore Water Association, water investors/accelerators, EnterpriseSG) in the water space regularly to understand their specific interests regarding commercialisation.b. Identify potential water technology adopters locally and overseas, as well as identify potential uses of the technologies in adjacent industries.c. Leverage Government-to-Government and multilateral development bank relationships to identify opportunities for the water industry.d. Promote technologies and the industry to international delegations during hosted visits and international training programmes.e. Engage international delegates at the Singapore International Water Week to profile technologies and promote the industry.f. Support the development of Municipal, Industrial Water and Coastal Protection industry domains.

B. International Engagementsa. Host visiting delegations in Singapore and share the Singapore Water Story.b. Support PUBs involvement for Government-to-Government projects.c. Manage PUBs MOUs and facilitate industry involvement, as well as coordinate with embassies and companies on activities.

What we are looking for

• Degree in a relevant field.• Relevant work experience in technology commercialisation, industry promotion and international relations would be an advantage.• Demonstrated ability to work independently and an excellent team player.• Motivated and meticulous individual with good project management skills and able to work with tight deadlines.• Good command of written and spoken English.
