A Steel Reinforcement Worker is responsible for cutting, shaping, positioning, and securing steel bars and mesh to reinforce concrete structures. These reinforcements form the framework for buildings, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure projects. The role requires accuracy, strength, and a good understanding of construction and safety practices.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and bar bending schedules (BBS).
• Measure, cut, bend, and fix steel bars or mesh to the required specifications.
• Secure reinforcement using manual or mechanical tying tools.
• Position and fix rebar correctly in shuttering/formwork before concrete is poured.
• Use rebar bending machines and hand tools efficiently.
• Ensure spacing, alignment, and supports meet engineering standards.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other construction workers.
• Perform quality checks and report any issues or inconsistencies.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Skilled in using rebar cutters, benders, and tying tools.
• Basic knowledge of concrete construction and reinforcement techniques.

• Good physical strength and stamina.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, or under varying weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
