AVP, Global Investments, Strategy & Risk - Infrastructure

AVP, Global Investments, Strategy & Risk - Infrastructure role at GIC. The GISR (Global Investments, Strategy and Risk) group supports the Infrastructure CIO and senior management in evaluating investments, developing investment strategy, and defining the role of Infrastructure within the GIC portfolio.

• Investment strategy - support GISRs work in developing the Infrastructure investment strategies and commitment targets. Collaborate with investment teams and the CIO on portfolio construction, sector strategy, and performance management & measurement. Coordinate with the asset allocation team to determine the size of each private strategy, define risk guidelines, and determine cost of capital.
• Deal evaluation - work with regional investment teams to support diligence, underwriting, and develop independent assessments for the CIO and the Investment Committee.
• Sector and technology research / investment - develop strategic sectoral insights and monitor disruptive trends impacting infrastructure markets (e.g., energy transition); assess technologies and market trends and support strategic investments in emerging technologies or business models.

• At least 4 years of investment banking, private equity or consulting experience
• Positive work attitude, high energy with drive and initiative
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and interact confidently with senior colleagues
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, research and deal assessment skills
• Good presentation and writing skills
