Bank of America is seeking to expand and diversify the Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) capability with adaptable and resilient individuals from a range of different backgrounds and experience.

This role is open to individuals with up to/between 3 to 5 years of Digital Forensics experience .

Required Background and Experience:
  • Identify, analyse, and present evidential data from workstation orientated systems, including but not limited to systems installed with Microsoft Windows; and
  • Experience investigating specific facets or workstreams of various incident scenarios/investigations as part of a broader DFIR/investigative team;
  • General knowledge in computing and networking, with an understanding of information security technologies, techniques, and processes;
  • Ability to participate unsupervised on incidents/investigations from start to finish.
Knowledge in one or more of the following is advantageous:
  • Knowledge of operating system artefacts, file systems, and inner workings of Microsoft Windows, Apple MacOS, or Linux/Unix distributions (especially RedHat);
  • Cloud and/or containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) within an enterprise environment.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Digital Forensics;
  • Relevant certifications like EnCE, GCFA, or cloud certifications (e.g., CompTIA Cloud+);
  • Linux qualifications such as RHCSA;
  • Scripting experience in Windows or Linux environments.
What You Will Do:
  • Utilize your DFIR skills in incidents or investigations;
  • Discover and assess the relevance of unfamiliar technology or data during investigations;
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Embrace new technologies to improve incident response;
  • Collaborate with a global team across different regions;
  • Participate in an on-call schedule to share responsibilities.
