Assistant Production Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to lead a dynamic team of assembly operators. The successful candidate will have a solid background in factory assembly operations and a strong understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about continuous product improvement and driving operational excellence. Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of assembly operators, ensuring production goals and timelines are met.
2. Oversee day-to-day factory operations, maintaining high standards of efficiency and product quality.
3. Implement and promote LEAN manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
4. Identify opportunities for product improvement and actively contribute to problem-solving and process optimization.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and address any production-related issues.
6. Monitor team performance and provide coaching to assembly operators to ensure high-quality output.
7. Uphold safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all production staff.
8. Develop strategies to meet and exceed key performance indicators, with incentives tied to production targets.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in a factory production environment, with a focus on assembly operations.
2. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of assembly operators.
3. Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and product improvement methodologies.
4. Ability to lead by example, motivating team members to achieve operational excellence.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing production challenges.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient workflow.
7. Prior experience working with performance-based incentives is an advantage.
