About the Role

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Permanent Recruitment team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both business development and recruitment delivery, with the ability to identify new clients, build strong relationships, and successfully close hiring mandates.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client accounts, sourcing quality candidates, and driving revenue through successful placements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, client meetings, referrals, networking, and market mapping.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their hiring needs, business priorities, and talent challenges.
  • Generate new job mandates and manage the full recruitment cycle from role briefing to offer management and placement closure.
  • Source, screen, interview, and shortlist suitable candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, database search, and market mapping.
  • Provide consultative advice to clients on talent availability, salary benchmarking, hiring trends, and recruitment strategies.
  • Manage candidate relationships professionally, ensuring a strong candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Negotiate terms of business, salary packages, offers, and placement fees where required.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently work towards revenue and activity targets.
  • Update CRM/ATS systems accurately with client, candidate, and sales activity.
  • Represent the company professionally in the market and contribute to the growth of the recruitment desk.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–3 years of recruitment, sales, business development, account management, or client-facing experience.
  • Strong business development mindset with the confidence to approach new clients and generate leads.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and manage client expectations.
  • Commercially driven, resilient, target-oriented, and motivated by revenue growth.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple roles, clients, and candidates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior recruitment agency experience will be advantageous but not mandatory.

Ideal Profile

We are looking for someone who is proactive, sales-driven, and confident in opening doors with new clients. The ideal candidate should have strong BD acumen, enjoy client engagement, and be comfortable owning both the sales and delivery aspects of recruitment.
