About the role:
Our client is a market leader in the healthcare sector.
As part of their commitment to operational excellence and continuous expansion, they are seeking a driven, hands-on Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Manager to lead and elevate safety culture across their multi-site care centers, residential facilities, and community care hubs.
As the WSH Manager, you will serve as the champion for overall workplace safety, health, and risk management across all operating sites.
Reporting directly to Senior Leadership, you will drive the development, execution, and continuous improvement of safety policies to safeguard employees, clients, visitors, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate, implement, and periodically review WSH management systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in strict alignment with local regulatory requirements (e.g., WSH Act, MOM guidelines) and healthcare standards.
- Ensure full compliance across multi-sites and community care facilities.
- Lead comprehensive Risk Assessments (RA) and safe work procedures, specifically targeting community care hazards (e.g., ergonomic/manual lifting risks, infection control protocols, slip/trip/fall hazards, and emergency response).
- Conduct regular safety inspections, internal audits, and fire safety drills across all sites.
- Direct investigations for all workplace incidents, occupational injuries, and near-misses; identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and maintain accurate accident/incident records.
- Drive a proactive, compassionate "Safety First" culture across all organizational levels.
- Develop and deliver engaging WSH training programs, staff inductions, and emergency preparedness workshops tailored for care staff and healthcare professionals.
- Lead the cross-functional WSH Committee and facilitate regular safety communications.
- Support new facility openings and site expansions by managing preliminary safety approvals and risk planning.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any a related discipline and Minimum 5 to 8 years of dedicated WSH experience
- Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM), MOM-registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO), WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (Level 2) are a strong advantage.
- Self-driven with strong problem-solving, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including reporting, presentations, and regulatory liaison.
- Prior experience within healthcare or community care sector will be advantageous.
